Police Release Name of Man Shot in Car

They're offering a reward for information on Tuesday's homicide.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting of a District man in broad daylight Tuesday on a local street.

Marcus Manor, 38, died after the suspect walked up to the parked car in which he was sitting and shot him, according to WRC-TV Channel 4.

The shooting occurred at about 11:10 a.m. in the 2900 block of Sherman Avenue, Northwest, the police said. Manor succumbed to his injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
