Police Seek Suspect in Knife-Wielding Sexual Assault in Northwest DC
Suspect was wearing one white, one black shoe.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with an Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed that occurred in the area of Oliver Street, NW and Western Avenue, NW, according to a news release from police. Here’s more information about the assault, from the release:
On Saturday, Aug. 31, at approximately 11:30 pm, an adult female was in the area of Oliver Street, NW and Western Avenue, NW, when a suspect approached her and displayed a knife. The suspect attempted to remove the victim’s clothing but was unsuccessful. The victim was able to flee from the suspect.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, tall, with a dark complexion, wearing a dark hat, one black shoe and one white shoe, dark gloves, white long sleeve button down shirt, and dark pants.
