Police warn residents of con artists who pose as technicians and target drivers with dents in the Georgetown area.

GEORGETOWN, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department is warning residents of con artists who pose as technicians and target drivers with dents in the Georgetown area.

Police said the dent repair scammers were last seen this week in a Dodge Charger with DC tags on M Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown, WJLA reports.

These con artists approach people with dents on their car and offer to repair them. They often charge hundreds of dollars, but use cheap fixes that don't last.
