Police: Woman Sexually Assaulted Near McLean Gardens Tuesday

The assault happened in the 4200 block of Wisconsin Avenue, NW just before midnight Tuesday.

A woman was sexually assaulted while walking on the 4200 block of Wisconsin Avenue near McLean Gardens Tuesday around 11:45 p.m., according to a police report.

"The victim was walking in the area, when an unknown male suspect approached her from behind and forced her behind a building, and sexually assaulted her," according to a news release from police. 

Police are seeking public assistance in finding the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30 to 40 years of age, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighing approximately 200 to 250 pounds. He is described as having a muscular build, with tattoos on both arms and was wearing"a black shirt with writing on the back, possibly in Spanish," according to a police report.
