The Georgetown Metropolitan reports that the owners chose not to renew the lease, which ends in June, and a sign on the store announces the availability of the building for lease.
Appalachian Spring began in Georgetown in 1968. The store is known for it's unusual collection and wide variety of gifts, selling everything from colorful jewelry to glass frogs, kaleidoscopes and kitchen accessories.
