DC cherry blossom season is here with peak bloom expected this weekend! Here are some tips from AT&T on how to prepare to take the best cherry blossom pictures of the season using your smartphone (selfie stick not included):

1. Prepare by making sure your phone is fully charged and has enough space to store lots of new photos! It is also a great idea to clean your lens and play around with your camera options (flash, focus, zoom) beforehand!
2. Plan out carefully what time you will go to see the cherry blossoms- this is important for lighting but also avoiding the crowds! Remember to check out other areas besides the Tidal Basin like The National Arboretum or Hains Point.
3. Compose great shots by being attentive to how you are framing your picture. You can get creative by taking photos with different angles (selfie stick time!), backgrounds, and filters.
4. Apps will allow you to modify lighting and filters of your cherry blossom pictures to your liking. You can then share your pictures with friends and family on social media or through text!
