Quirky E-tailer 'ModCloth' Opening Pop-up Shop in Georgetown

The popular online clothing store is on a five-city summer tour.

The popular online retailer ModCloth is opening up a brick-and-mortar shop on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown.

Washingtonian reported that the e-tailer, known for its vintage-style midi skirts and quirky wedding wear, is setting up a temporary "pop-up" shop at the old Urban Chic location at 1626 Wisconsin Ave. from June 9-25.

ModCloth will be going to five cities during its "ModCloth IRL" summer tour, with D.C. being the second stop. The store will have clothing in sizes XS to 4X, swimwear, wedding outfits, vintage pieces and home decor, according to the report. You can also book an appointment with a personal stylist.

Items can be shipped to your home for free, although you can also purchase items on site.

ModCloth was launched as a website back in 2002, and relocated from Pittsburgh to San Francisco in 2010. The company previously launched pop-up stores in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
