Report: Protestors Shut Down Dupont Circle Wednesday Night

Demonstrations revived in DC after another grand jury decides not to indict police officer in death of black man.

Demonstrators again took to DC streets Wednesday night, to protest the deaths of two black men by police.

Protestors shouting “No justice, no peace. No racist police” marched from the White House to Dupont Circle Wednesday night, shutting down streets, The Washington Post reported.

The DC Police Department sent out notifications on Twitter of roads that were blocked and where the protestors were headed.

On Wednesday a New York grand jury decided not to indict a police officer in the death of Eric Garner, a black man placed in a chokehold while being arrested for selling cigarettes.

Protests sprouted up across the country Wednesday night just as they did after the Nov. 24 grand jury decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for fatally shooting teen Michael Brown.

Before Wednesday night, the DC area had seen several days of protests from demonstrators angry over the death of Brown, a black 18-year-old in Ferguson, Mo.
