The Salary You Need to Live Comfortably in DC: USA Today

Did you know you live in one of the nation’s ”richest cities?” USA Today recently came out with its “10 richest cities” in the nation, using information from FindtheBest, and DC ranks high on the list.

The list includes cities with a population greater than 500,000 that have the highest percentage of households earning at least $150,000 per year.

So where does DC fall on the newspaper’s richest cities list?

The nation’s capital comes in at #3 on the list, just below San Francisco (#1) and San Jose (#2).

The salary you need to live comfortably in DC? $108,092, according to USA Today.

The story notes that a higher salary is needed in DC to keep up with the high cost of living on everything from housing and groceries to a night out at the movies.
