School Bus Pop-up Shop Visits Georgetown
Warby Parker, an online affordable eyewear company, is taking a cross-country road trip.
Sunday marks the final day that a re-tooled yellow school bus will sit in the parking lot of the PNC Bank showing off a pop-up shop of Warby Parker eyewear.
Warby Parker is an eyewear company that started online. They offer a wide range of affordable glasses (starting at $95) and feature a buy a pair, give a pair program, which provides eyeglasses to those in need.
The Warby Parker Class Trip has been visiting Georgetown and other DC area locations for three weeks. Sunday is its last day in the parking lot at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street, NW.

According to the company website, "Warby Parker is touring the nation, visiting nine cities in six months to bring our showroom experience to life. It’s our version of that great literary tradition—the cross-country road trip."
Hannah May, a Warby Parker Class Trip team member, told Patch that the eyewear company, which currently exists almost exclusively online, is opening a SoHo shop in the next few months and is eyeing the DC area for a retail location as well.

She said the response in Georgetown has been "awesome" and that both current customers and new buyers have been stopping by the school bus to try on frames and place orders in person.
The final day to catch the bus in Georgetown is Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
