Seeking Child Participants for Studies at Georgetown University!
Looking for children to visit our lab and play fun computer games that teach us how children learn patterns!

Dear Parents,
We are the Learning and Development Lab at Georgetown: a group of researchers studying language learning and child development. We need your help to understand how children learn!
At our lab, we use simple games and activities to understand how children learn languages and other patterns, and how they perceive the spatial world around them. Our research is made possible through the support of families like yours, and we invite you to visit the lab and participate in one of our child-friendly studies.

Our aim is to learn more about the remarkable learning abilities of young children. This information can help us to understand how to foster learning in all children and adults, and also can help to develop treatments for children with disabilities.

Visiting our lab is easy! We are located on the Georgetown University Campus. Visits typically last about 1 hour and appointment times are flexible. Some specific studies are longer, in which case we offer monetary compensation. We provide free on-campus parking for visiting families and, as a thank-you, your child receives a gift bag to take home with them at the end of their visit.
If you would like more information or want to take part in one of our studies, please give us a call, send us an e-mail or visit our website. We look forward to hearing from you!
Best,
The Research Team at the Learning and Development Lab
