Taste And Shop Georgetown Now Runs Through Oct. 31

The annual event highlights businesses and eateries, but has taken on a new look thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

GEORGETOWN, D.C. — Taste and Shop Georgetown has been extended through the end of October. The annual event highlights businesses and eateries, but has taken on a new look thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. This year, patrons can dine outside at any of the "streateries" or grab dinner to go. Specials and deals abound at shops and from service providers. More than 65 Georgetown businesses are participating this year.

The four-week event, inspired by the Taste of Georgetown, also offers discounted parking as low as $1 for the first 20 minutes and $5 all day at several parking garages. Historically, ticket sales from Taste of Georgetown benefits the Georgetown Ministry Center’s mission to support the homeless. Although this year’s promotional event is free, participants are encouraged to consider donating to the Georgetown Ministry Center.
