A TRIBUTE TO THE HIGHWAYMEN (WAYLON, WILLIE, CASH & KRISTOFFERSON) FEATURING COLD HARD CASH, HUMAN COUNTRY JUKEBOX

Cold Hard Cash has been astonishing DC-area audiences since 2005 with their eerily accurate renditions of Johnny Cash classics. This is Cash with no artificial colors or flavors — CHC delivers the goods straight up and as black and thick as a quality stout. Lead singer Rob Petrie’s vocals invoke the presence of the Man In Black while guitar ace Danny Stellabotte nails the sound and feel of the originals.

In addition to Cash favorites, CHC serves up a liberal shot of honky tonk classics from the likes of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and other country greats, and even a bit of surf led by Danny’s blistering guitar work. Bassist Geff King is a Washington, DC, honkytonk and bluegrass icon whose stirring vocals will melt your heart and tickle your funny bone, and veteran drummer Mark Lucas is the heartbeat of the band, keeping the pulse going with talent and taste.

A taste of Texas in the nation’s capital, a bit of Dixie in the District, The Human Country Jukebox plays the best classic country and western songs by the likes of Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and more. If these songs don’t get your hands clapping and your feet stomping you should probably see a doctor. And don’t say, “I don’t like country music.” If you like great singing, expert playing, soulful, bluesy, “I’m so sad I could drink, so happy I could drink some more” music then you’ll enjoy The Human Country Jukebox.
