Twentythirtysomething Book Club (T.T.B.C.)

Are you a local reader between the ages of 21 and 35? Looking for a more casual book club experience? Then join us for Twentythirtysomething Book Club (T.T.B.C) a new book group for younger adults.

Join T.T.B.C. as we discuss "I Am Malala," which is the recent book about the young ambitious life of Malala Yousafzai. When the Taliban took control of the Swat Valley in Pakistan, one girl spoke out. Malala Yousafzai refused to be silenced and fought for her right to an education. On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, when she was fifteen, she almost paid the ultimate price. She was shot in the head at point-blank range while riding the bus home from school, and few expected her to survive. Instead, Malala's miraculous recovery has taken her on an extraordinary journey from a remote valley in northern Pakistan to the halls of the United Nations in New York.

We will be meeting at Breadsoda in the booth by the shuffleboard tables, and we'll provide appetizers or drinks. For more information, check out our MeetUp page or email erika.rydberg@dc.gov or julia.strusienski@dc.gov.
