Via Umbria Holds 2017 Concerts In The Parks Kickoff Party

Georgetown residents are encouraged to head to Via Umbria's Kickoff Party Thursday to raise money for the summer concert series.

GEORGETOWN, DC — Via Umbria will hold the 2017 Concerts in the Parks Kickoff Party this Thursday, April 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. All of the proceeds will help underwrite the cost of the summer concert series in Volta and Rose parks.

The season will kick off with this Roman Holiday-inspired evening at Via Umbria to raise funds. There will be an Italian spritz bar, cheesemonger selection and more. Tickets are $80 for CAG (Citizens Association of Georgetown) members and $90 for non-members.

The dates for the free 2017 Concert Series are:

  • Sunday, May 21 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Volta Park;
  • Sunday, June 18 (Father's Day) from 5:30-7 p.m. in Volta Park;
  • And Sunday, July 9 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Rose Park.

Residents are urged to bring blankets and picnics to the free concert series open to the public. There will also be food trucks, free treats, great bands and family fun activities.

Via Umbria is located at 1525 Wisconsin Ave.
