Undercover Female Officer Rushed to Hospital After Being Hit by a Car

On Tuesday morning a D.C. police officer was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Around 2 a.m. Tuesday, a female police officer was hit by a car while doing undercover prostitution-related work, ABC 7 News reports.

The D.C. officer was transferred to a local hospital with serious injuries. She is expected to make a full recovery as she does not face life-threatening problems.

The driver stayed on the scene after striking the officer in the 500 block of Eastern Avenue NE. The car’s windshield is damaged but further information has not been released regarding the driver’s condition.
