Vegetarian Taco Shop Announces Georgetown Location

After providing plant-based tacos at D.C. farmer’s markets, Chaia will be opening its first shop in Georgetown.

Located at 3207 Grace Street NW, the vegetarian shop will offer seasonal taco trios beginning in 2015.

Chaia founders, Bettina Stern and Suzanne Simon, developed the ‘farm to taco’ concept after working as writers and food educators for over a decade.

The taco contents will depend on the seasonal availability, but some of the offerings include:

• Creamy braised chard and potato with green sauce
• Market mushrooms with feta and red sauce
• Zucchini with olio picante, farmstead cheese, and radish

Breakfast tacos with farm fresh eggs will be available on Sundays.

Chaia will be serving taco trios at the FRESHFARM market in Dupont Circle 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays until Dec. 28.
