Wahlburgers Coming to DC?

Chain burger eatery is owned by the famous Wahlberg brothers; Washington Business Journal reports they are seeking a DC location.

WASHINGTON, DC - Signs point to a Wahlburgers, a burger chain owned by the Wahlberg brothers, in D.C.’s future. In addition to a Facebook page popping up for a Wahlburgers DC, Washington Business Journal reports that real estate agents are looking for a DC location for the restaurant chain.

The Wahlberg brothers are actor Mark, musician/actor Donnie and their brother Paul, the chef behind the enterprise. Paul Wahlberg is a longtime chef and the founder of an Italian restaurant, Alva Nove in Massachusetts. The brothers are part of a larger family of nine siblings.

The Boston-based burger company established a Wahlburgers DC Facebook page, back in October. Currently there are Wahlburger restaurants located in New York, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada and Pennsylvania, according to the company.

The restaurant has become more high-profile lately with the eatery and famous family featured in the A&E reality series “Wahlburgers.”

The menu consists of a variety of burgers (about a half-dozen choices), as well as salads, fish and chili. You can also order sides like fries, onion rings, Tater Tots, macaroni salad as well as desserts such as cupcakes and frappes. Beer and wine are also on the menu.
