Police: Waitress, 19, Reports Sexual Assault in Glover Park Area Over the Weekend

Washington, D.C. police say that a teenage waitress getting off of work was sexually assaulted over the weekend, after leaving the restaurant where she works, in the Glover Park area.

Police were called Saturday at about 1 a.m., to the 2400 block of Wisconsin Avenue; the incident reportedly took place in an alley, near Calvert Street NW and Observatory Circle NW.

The sex assault of the 19-year old woman is considered "first degree sex abuse," a police spokeswoman said Wednesday. 

Some news reports say the man was a customer at the restaurant that night; police could not confirm that information. 

Police said Wednesday, when asked for a description of the suspect, that he is a white male. No other description was given.
