A new survey lists Washington as No. 9 on the list of the most expensive cities for weddings in the nation

Weddings are expensive no matter where you get married, but if you live in the Washington, D.C. area, be prepared to pay extra.

Thumbtack.com, which every year gets more than 320,000 wedding requests for a number of wedding-related services like photographers and DJs, recently ranked the 25 most expensive metro areas in the United States, and placed D.C. at No. 9 on the list.
