Bank of Georgetown Names Branch After Founder Curtin Winsor III

A new branch of the Bank of Georgetown will be called The Winsor Branch, after the bank's late founder, who died in 2012, according to a story in today's Washington Business Journal.

Curtin Winsor III died of a heart attack Dec. 11, 2012 at age 49 leaving behind a wife and three daughters. He was an active member of the Georgetown community, as a resident and a board member on the Georgetown Business Improvement District, serving as the BID Finance Chair. Winsor co-founded Bank of Georgetown with Michael Fitzgerald in 2005. He was the oldest of five siblings and the only son of Ann and US Ambassador Curtin Winsor of McLean.

The branch is located at 1115 30th St. NW in Georgetown.
