Weekend Metro Work May Cause Delays: Nov. 17 - 18

GEORGETOWN, DC — There's plenty to do in the D.C. metro area this weekend. If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Oct. 17 or Sunday, Oct. 18, you might want to get to the station early. Service adjustments may cause some delays. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will be single-tracking between Farragut North and Judiciary Square and will be operating every 20 minutes. The last Glenmont-bound train is scheduled to leave Shady Grove — and subsequent stations — 18 minutes earlier than usual.

Orange Line trains will be single-tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory and will be running every 24 minutes.

Silver Line trains will be single-tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory and will be running every 24 minutes. If you're catching the last Wiehle-Reston East-bound train, it will be leaving Largo Town Center — and subsequent stations — 10 minutes ahead of schedule.

Blue Line trains will be single-tracking between Pentagon City and Arlington Cemetery. Trains will only be operating every 24 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Eastern Market. Riders who are traveling between Potomac Ave and Largo Town Center should use the Orange or Silver lines. If you're heading toward Franconia-Springfield, Metro says you should transfer at Rosslyn to catch the last train.

Yellow Line trains will be single-tracking between L'Enfant Plaza and Pentagon City. Trains will only be running between Huntington and Mt Vernon Square every 24 minutes. If you're traveling between stations north of Mt Vernon Square, take the Green Line.

There are no service adjustments scheduled for the Green Line.
