What's Open, Closed In Georgetown For July 4, 2020, Observation
Since the Independence Day holiday falls on a Saturday, some Friday services will be affected.
GEORGETOWN, D.C. — The Fourth of July will be celebrated differently this year by many due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Fireworks, parades, festivals, community concerts and other celebrations have been cancelled, leaving residents to find ways to celebrate at home. But one thing we can count on is a scheduled holiday and delays in some services.
Because July 4 falls on a Saturday, the Independence Day holiday will be observed on Friday, July 3. So what is going to be open and what's going to be closed this holiday week? Find out below:
All D.C. Government offices: Closed on Friday and Saturday for the holiday.

Metrorail: Metrorail operates from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
