White House Press Briefing Clear After Evacuation Tuesday
Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in Tuesday shortly after the press room was cleared out by the Secret Service, according to a report.

The White House briefing room has been given the all clear by Secret Service, after checking out a threat phoned into the Metropolitan Police Department about a bomb in the White House briefing room, according to a report by several media outlets including Bloomberg.

According to a report by the Associated Press, part of the White House has been evacuated Tuesday afternoon, due to security concerns.
Secret Service officers interrupted a live press briefing being aired and evacuated the briefing just after 2 p.m., according to the AP report.

No information was given to the press about why the room was being evacuated.
Reporters were escorted to a driveway and White House officials could be seen coming and going from the White House, the AP reported.
Agence-France Press reports on Twitter that police dogs were brought into the room after it was evacuated.
