White House Celebrates Halloween Friday Night

Halloween at the White House? Some families got quite the treat Friday night, when President Obama and the First Lady welcomed them to celebrate Halloween and trick-or-treat at the White House.

The White House streamed the event live online Friday and jugglers, trapeze artists and a fortune teller could be seen. The Obamas, dressed in casual clothes (no costumes!), handed out treats to costumed children who were in line to trick or treat with the First Couple. Spooky decorations could be seen decorating the outside of the White House.

Michelle Obama wore black pants, and a green and white top with a black jacket and sneakers. The President was wearing slacks and a brown crew-neck sweater.
Music with a spooky theme including “Ghostbusters” and “Superstition” played in the background. Some White House staffers were dressed in costume; eager parents could be seen trying to get photos of their children as they accepted treats from the Obamas.
