No, that truck isn't delivering a bridge -- it just got stuck under one today on Rock Creek Parkway, and it's not the first time it has happened in the Georgetown area.

NBC Washington's traffic Twitter account sent out the above photo at 9:22 a.m. this morning, noting that the truck had gotten stuck under a bridge on Rock Creek Parkway near the Georgetown exit.

Bridges tend to be pretty low on the Rock Creek Parkway near Georgetown -- in some cases just 12 feet high. WTOP reported last year that an over-height truck become lodged under a low-clearance bridge at the K Street/Whitehurst Freeway overpass twice in one week.

When it happens, police and District Department of Transportation personnel have to deflate the tires to lower their height enough to dislodge them. In the meantime, it causes major traffic disruptions.

Truck drivers are typically issued a $25 citation for the offense, as commercial trucks aren't allowed on parkways. However, trucks often wander onto the Rock Creek Parkway on a regular basis anyway.
