1 Person Killed In 4-Car Crash On Anacostia Bridge
A fatal crash on the Anacostia Bridge left one dead, two others injured and cars engulfed in flames early Friday morning.
WASHINGTON, DC — A fatal crash on the Anacostia Bridge left one dead and two others injured early Friday morning, DC Police report.
At about 3:10 a.m., four vehicles crashed on the inbound lanes of New York Avenue NE on the Anacostia Bridge, police said. Traffic was blocked in both directions on U.S. 50 for hours because of the collision.
One person is dead and two others were injured, according to D.C. Fire. Three cars were engulfed in flames. One person was trapped inside their car, but emergency personnel were able to rescue them, authorities said.

All lanes on New York Avenue reopened by 7:45 a.m.
D.C. police have not released any more information about the crash and the identity of the deceased remains unknown.
