1-Year-Old Boy Shot In Northeast DC (UPDATES)
A 1-year-old boy was shot in the 1300 block of Eye Street, NE., at about 9:08 p.m. Monday, police said.

(Updated 10:34 a.m. Wednesday) WASHINGTON, DC — A one-year old boy was shot in his backyard in Northeast Washington Monday night, police said. (Subscribe to the Washington DC Patch to stay up to date on all local news.)
The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Eye Street, NE. at about 9:08 p.m. The boy was in a stroller while other children were playing when three men began arguing and fired shots, police said.
The boy was struck and transported to the Children's National Medical Center in serious condition, police said. He was released from the hospital Tuesday and is now recovering at home.

"It was very unfortunate that we had a little boy struck, but it could have been a lot worse," Chief Peter Newsham said to NBC Washington.
Police say they are close to making three arrests.
