Fatal Shooting Of 16-Year-Old Khalil Rich Of Northeast Investigated By DC Police

Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 16-Year-Old Khalil Rich Of Northeast, whose body was found early Friday morning.

WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 16 year-old Khalil Rich of Northeast on Friday, according to a police release.

Police found Rich suffering from apparent gunshot wounds after they'd been called around 2:34 a.m. to the 1500 block of Isherwood Street, Northeast for the report of a shooting.

D.C. Fire and EMS examined Rich and found that he had died from injuries. He was later taken to the office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.

Anyone with information about Rich's death is asked to call MPD at 202-727-9099. Anonymous tips may be submitted via the department's text tip line by texting a message to 50411.
