17-Year-Old Girl Stabbed to Death Near Metrobus in Northwest DC: Reports
Police are still looking for the culprit in the stabbing, which happened near Fort Totten.
WASHINGTON, DC — Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a teenage girl near a Metrobus in Northwest near Fort Totten on Monday night, according to the Metropolitan Police Department and reports.
Police responded to a call of a stabbing in the 600 block of Emerson Street NW just after 8 p.m., and found 17-year-old Kaelia Minor suffering from a stab wound, according to a police reports.
Various media outlets report that the stabbing happened during a fight outside of a Metrobus. D.C. Fire and EMS responded to the scene and tried to save her life, but she died after being transported to an area hospital, police said.

The statement adds: "The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411."
