17-Year-Old Killed In Shooting Incident: Police Report
Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Omari Dunn of Northwest on Saturday.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting Saturday of 17-year-old Omari Dunn of Northwest, according to a police report.
Around 5:28 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to the unit block of Florida Avenue, Northeast, for the report of a shooting. They found Dunn inside a business, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
After examining Dunn, D.C. Fire and EMS determined he had died and then later transported him to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
