19-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Northeast DC: Police
The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Daquan Hankins.
WASHINGTON, DC - The Metropolitan Police Department is actively looking for the person who shot and killed a 19-year-old man over the weekend.
According to police, around 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 1000 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE in reference to a shooting. Once on scene, police said they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the victim was ultimately pronounced dead at the hospital. He has been identified as Daquan Hankins, 19, of northeast DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
