1st Degree Murder Charge Filed In Death Of Northeast Man
Detectives filed a felony murder charge against a Maryland man Tuesday, in connection with the death of 81-year-old Bobby Poole.

WASHINGTON, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department arrested a Capital Heights, Maryland man Tuesday in connection with the homicide of 81-year-old Bobby Poole, of Northeast, according to a police release.
Poole received injuries and was hospitalized as the result of an assault with the intent to commit robbery on March 29, in the 900 block of Eastern Ave., N.E. He then died on May 6, due to complications of a hematoma to the brain. The chief medical examiner ruled the manner of death as a homicide.
Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Major Violators Section’s Fugitive Unit Tuesday transported Williams to MPD's homicide branch. He had been facing multiple charges, but they have been upgraded to first degree murder-felony murder.
