Southeast Man Arrested In The Fatal Shooting Of 18-Year-Old Dmaree Miller On Jan. 4
D.C. police arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Dmaree Miller of Northeast on Jan. 4 in Congress Heights.
WASHINGTON, DC — Devon Edwards, 18, of Southeast was arrested on Tuesday for the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Dmaree Miller of Northeast on Jan. 4 in the Congress Heights neighborhood.
Police found Miller suffering from gunshot wounds, around 4:37 p.m., on Jan. 4. At the time, the officers were were investigating the report of a report of a shooting in the 3300 block of 12th Street, Southeast.
Emergency medical personnel examined Miller and determined that he had died. He was later taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant 0n Tuesday, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located Edwards and took him into custody. Police then charged him with first degree murder while armed.
Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
