2 Charged In Blunt-Force Death Of 2-year-old Northeast Boy
Homicide detectives arrested a man and woman Tuesday in connection with the April 1 death of 2-year-old Gabriel Eason.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives arrested two people Tuesday in connection with the blunt-force death of 2-year-old Gabriel Eason, of Northeast, according to a police release.
Members of the Sixth District responded around 8:25 a.m., on April 1, for the report of an unconscious person at a residence in the 900 block of Division Ave., N.E. When police arrived, they found D.C. Fire and EMS conducting lifesaving efforts on Eason, who was unconscious. After their lifesaving efforts failed to revive the boy, FEMS transported him later to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Following an autopsy, multiple blunt force injuries were determined to be the cause of death and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.

Acting on D.C. Superior Court arrest warrants on Tuesday, members of the Capital Area Fugitive Regional Task Force arrested Ta’Jeanna Eason, 31, and Antonio Turner, 28, both of Northeast. MPD charged them with first degree murder – felony murder and cruelty to children.
