2 DC Steakhouses Named Among the Best in America
BLT Steak and the Palm Restaurant received top honors in a new OpenTable report.

WASHINGTON, DC — Two D.C. restaurants have been named among the best steakhouses in the United States by online restaurant reservation company OpenTable.
In their new 100 Best Steakhouses in America for 2016 report, which aggregates the opinions of more than 5 million restaurant reviews at 20,000 restaurants in the country, OpenTable named BLT Steak and the Palm Restaurant as among the nation's best steakhouses.
The fact that the District scored two spots on the list is impressive, considering 22 states didn't manage to get any on the list.

"A lighter environment has been created that is enhanced by the richness of Macassar Ebony tables and matching suede," the site continues. "A 25-foot bar greets diners with an excellent array of libations for pre- or post- dining pleasure including an oyster and shellfish raw bar."
The Palm, meanwhile, has been a popular fixture at 1225 19th Street NW in Washington, D.C. for quite a while. This classic American steakhouse is "renowned" for its steaks, lobsters and Italian dishes. It's also certain to host a few powerful figures on Capitol Hill from time to time.
