2 Fatal Shootings Investigated By DC Police

D.C. Police detectives are investigating two separate homicides that occurred last week, one in Carver-Langston and the other in Bellevue.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives are investigating two homicides that took place last week, one in the Carver-Langston area and another in Bellevue, according to police reports.

On Thursday, May 7, around 12:18 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to the 2100 block of H Street, N.E., for the report of a shooting. Arriving officers found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead. Officers also found a second adult male victim, who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

MPD identified the decedent as Lowell Tolliver Jr., 27, of Northeast

In the second homicide case, officers from the Seventh District responded Friday, May 8, around 8:05 a.m., to the report of a shooting in the 4000 block of South Capitol Terrace, S.W. They found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. After D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, all life-saving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.

Police identified the decedent as Eddie Crist, 28, of no fixed address.
