2 New Homicides In DC Under Investigation: Police Report
D.C. Police are investigating two homicides that occurred Wednesday night, one in the Southwest Waterfront and the other in Fort Dupont.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives are investigating t2o homicides that took place Wednesday night, one near the Southwest Waterfront and the other in Fort Dupont, according to police releases.
In the first case, officers from the First District were dispatched around 5:23 p.m., for the report of a shooting in the 1100 block of 4th Street, S.W. Arriving on the scene, officers found an unconscious adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.
Police identified the decedent as Marquis Osborne, 21, of Southwest.

In the second case, officers from the Sixth District responded around 10:05 p.m., to the 3500 block of A Street, S.E., for the report of the sound of gunshots. Arriving officers found an unconscious adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS took the victim to an area hospital for treatment. Efforts to save the victim's life failed and he was pronounced dead.

MPD identified the victim as Zenus Epps, 33, of Southeast.
