2022 Capital Pride Parade, Block Party: What You Need To Know
Members of the LGBTQ+ community will be participating in the 2022 Capital Pride Parade and Block Party in Northwest D.C. on Saturday.
WASHINGTON, DC — Neighborhoods in Northwest D.C. will be filled with members of the LGBTQ+ community this Saturday who will be taking part in the the Capital Pride Parade and Block Party.
The day kicks off with the Capital Pride Block Party, with music, dancing, food and beverages, from 12-10 p.m., between P & Q intersecting with 17th St., Northwest, Washington, D.C.

The Dirty Goose and JRs are hosting the Capital Pride Beverage Garden. There will be two beverage gardens, where attendees must be 21 or older to access. Once there, attendees can view the parade, from 3-8 p.m.
The Capital Pride Parade will run from 3-7 p.m., starting on 14th Street, south of T Street. The parade will wend its way through Northwest D.C., ending on the Southside of Dupont Circle. There will be announcement stands near the starting and ending points of the parade route.

Friends of Stead Park, Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, and Rainbow Families will host a family friendly zone, featuring faceprinting, games, balloons and other fun activities, from 3-7 p.m., at Stead Field at 1625 P St., Northwest.
Families can also enjoy cooking demonstrations from DC Central Kitchen and Foundry Church is hosting Drag Story Time.
No Parking & Street Closures
Metropolitan Police Department will be closing a number of streets and posting no parking signs in Northwest D.C. on Saturday for the Pride Parade and Block Party. All restrictions are subject to change and people are encourage to follow the @DCPoliceTraffic account on Twitter for the latest updates.
On Saturday, the following streets will have Emergency No Parking signs posted from 4 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.:
- 15th Street from U Street to Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest
- T Street from 15th Street to 14th Street, Northwest
- 14th Street from U Street to Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest
- Rhode Island Avenue from 14th Street to Scott Circle, Northwest
- Massachusetts Avenue from Scott Circle to 17th Street, Northwest
- Massachusetts Avenue from Dupont Circle to 22nd Street, Northwest
- 17th Street from Massachusetts Avenue to Q Street, Northwest
- P Street from Logan Circle to 22nd Street, Northwest
- 20th Street from Q Street to New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest
- 21st Street from Q Street to N Street, Northwest
- O Street from New Hampshire Avenue to 22nd Street, Northwest
- Hopkins Street between O Street and P Street, Northwest
