23-Year-Old Northeast Man Killed In Sunday Shooting: Police
Homicide detectives are investigating the Sunday afternoon fatal shooting of Demeitri Anderson, 23, of Northeast.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man Sunday afternoon in Northeast, according to a police release. MPD identified the deceased victim as Demeitri Anderson of Northeast.
Officers from the Sixth District responded around 12:40 p.m., to the 4500 block of Benning Road, S.E., after hearing the sound of gunshots. They found Anderson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS determined Anderson had died and later transported him to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
