2nd Arrest Made In Congress Heights Fatal Shooting: Police
D.C. homicide detectives arrested a second person in connection with the Sept. 26 fatal shooting of Anthony Lee in Congress Heights.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department made a second arrest Wednesday in the Sept. 26 fatal shooting of 25-year-old Anthony Lee, of Southwest, according to a police report.
Seventh District officers responded around 11:25 p.m., to the 2900 block of Martin Luther King Jr., Ave., S.E., for the sound of gunshots. They found Lee, suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported him to a nearby hospital, but all lifesaving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.
Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant on Oct. 19, MPD arrested Niko James Hall, 29, of Southeast, and charged him with first degree murder while armed (premeditated).

On Wednesday, homicide detectives, acting on a similar warrant, arrested Kyrie Wells, 18, of Southeast, and charged him with first degree murder while armed (premeditated).
