2nd Degree Murder Charge Filed Against Southeast Man In Fatal Stabbing

D.C. police charged as Southeast man Sunday with second degree murder while armed in the fatal stabbing of 42-year-old Kenneth Sills.

WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. homicide detectives arrested 40-year-old Tyrone Graham of Southeast in connection with the fatal stabbing Sunday morning of 42-year-old Kenneth Sills of no fixed address, according to a police release.

Seventh District officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh responded around 4:11 a.m., for the report of a stabbing at a residence in the 4000 block of 4th Street, Southeast. There, they found Sills suffering from an apparent stab wound.

Sills was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but all lifesaving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead, according to the release.

The responding officers apprehended Graham and charged him with second degree murder while armed.
