3 Dead, 2 Injured In Rock Creek And Potomac Parkway Crash: Report

Three people in one car died at the scene, and two people in another car were injured, police told NBC4.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Three people are dead and two are injured following a Wednesday morning crash on Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway in Washington, D.C., police told NBC4.

Police told the outlet that the crash, which occurred around 1:40 a.m. on Rock Creek Parkway just south of the P Street exit, involved a car that fled a traffic stop.

Three people in one car died at the scene, and two people in another car were injured. One has life-threatening injuries, police said.

Rock Creek Parkway is shut down between K and P Streets northwest, northbound traffic is diverted to Virginia Avenue, and southbound is diverted to Shoreham Hill toward Calvert Street. The entrance at Massachusetts Avenue is closed, officials said.
