3 Simple Ways to Make Healthy Meals in 5 Minutes #3SimpleWays

Eating healthy and homemade doesn't have to take tons of time. It can be five minutes or less and take only one pan...simple! The simplest key to remember in fast cooking made healthy is to use fast-cooking protein ingredients you can use as the base of any dish. These proteins are the most versatile and fast to make: Shrimp, Eggs, and Beans. Here are three ways (recipes) to make healthy meals in 5 minutes (or less).

Egg Burritos

Warm up a whole wheat flour tortilla and top with 2 tablespoons salsa and 1-2 tablespoons jalepeno jack cheese.. Lightly mist a skillet with olive or coconut oil spray and heat over high. Add 2 beaten eggs to the pan and scramble. Once cooked as desired, put eggs ontop of cheese. Fold burrito and eat. Yum! For added protien, you can add some beans. For added healthiness, you can add some greens.

Sante Fe Salad

Toss together 3/4 cup organic greens, 1/4 cup pico de gallo, and 1/2 cup each rinsed and drained canned black beans and canned organic corn. Add about 10 mini-cherry tomatoes and 1/4 of a avacado chopped.

Cilantro-Lime Shrimp

Because it cooks so quickly, shrimp is the perfect 5 minute dinner. Season shrimp with paprika, cumin, cayenne, garlic powder, and cinnamon. Sauté for just minutes in butter or olive oil (til pink but not rubbery). Toss with fresh lime juice and add a little raw honey.
