4 PG County CVS Pharmacies To Offer Coronavirus Testing

Patients will need to register first on the CVS website to make an appointment to receive a self-swab test.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The process for Prince George's County residents looking to be tested for COVID-19, the virus associated with the new coronavirus, will soon be as simple as visiting your local pharmacy.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and CVS Health announced Thursday that COVID-19 test sites will be opening at 17 CVS Pharmacies across the state, including four in Prince George's County.

The announcement came two days after Hogan signed an emergency order authorizing the state’s nearly 1,200 pharmacies to order and administer COVID-19 tests.

"Following our announcement that Maryland has reached a critical milestone in its long-term COVID-19 testing strategy by dramatically expanding the availability of testing for residents, these new, additional sites are another important step to further increase testing access for communities across Maryland,” Hogan said, in a release. “We will continue working closely with CVS Health and all of our partners in the private sector, along with Maryland’s world-class health care systems and local governments, to protect residents’ health and safety and support our state’s safe and gradual recovery.”

  • CVS Pharmacy, 7600 SE Crain Highway, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772
  • CVS Pharmacy, 4840 Marlboro Pike, Capitol Heights, MD 20743
  • CVS Pharmacy, 5100 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772

The CVS sites will use self-swab tests, which will be available to individuals who meet CDC criteria, in addition to age guidelines. Starting Friday, May 22, patients looking to be tested must register in advance on CVS' website to schedule an appointment.
