DC 4th of July Fireworks 2017: Weather Forecast, Where To Watch
If you haven't made plans yet for a fireworks show on Independence Day, we've found a few great spots to watch the show in D.C.
UPDATE 7/3 11:00 a.m.: Uh-oh, we've got rain in the forecast. Tuesday is showing a 40 percent chance of rain during the day time with a high of 91 degrees, followed by an 80 percent of thunderstorms and a low of 72 degrees in the evening.
UPDATE 6/30: Here's the weather forecast for D.C. for the 4th of July from Weather.com: Expect intervals of clouds and sunshine with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible during the day. The forecast calls for a high of 93 degrees and a low of 72 degrees. Winds will be 5 to 10 miles per hour. Total chance of rain is 20 percent. Humidity will range from 46 percent during the daytime to 64 percent in the evening.

Expects hundreds of thousands of tourists to descend on the D.C. metro area, as there's no better place to celebrate the nation's founding than at the nation's capital.

- Lincoln Memorial
- National Mall
- Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
- Thomas Jefferson Memorial
- The White House Ellipse
- West Potomac Park
- East Potomac Park
- Anacostia Park
Arrive early and be prepared for heavy crowds. Consider wearing hearing protection because the fireworks are loud. Pets are not allowed. Also, remember that the areas along Independence Avenue between the Lincoln Memorial and World War II Memorial will be closed for safety checks briefly after the fireworks show.
