5 More Coronavirus Deaths In DC, As Positive Cases Climb To 1,440
D.C. health officials confirmed five more District residents have died of the coronavirus, bringing total COVID-19 related deaths to 27.
WASHINGTON, DC — Five more District residents have died due to the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, according to data released Wednesday morning by the D.C. Department of Health. This brings the total number of residents killed by the virus to 27. The five COVID-19 related deaths are: a 52-year-old male, a 61-year-old female, a 68-year-old female, a 79-year-old female, and a 97-year-old female.
D.C. Health also confirmed 229 new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of District residents to test positive for the virus to 1,440.
