60-Year-Old DC Man Shot To Death In Fairfax Village Area: Police

D.C. homicide detectives are searching for the person responsible for the fatal shooting of 60-year-old Donnell Henderson of Southeast.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are looking for the person responsible for the fatal shooting of 60-year-old Donnell Henderson of Southeast in the Fairfax Village area.

Officers from MPD's Sixth District found Henderson suffering from gunshot wounds around 2:22 p.m., after being called to the 3800 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast for the report of a shooting.

D.C. Fire & EMS personnel examined Henderson and determined that he had died from injuries. His body was later taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.

Anyone with information about Henderson's death is asked to call MPD at 202-727-9099. Anonymous tips may be submitted via the department's text tip line by texting a message to 50411.
