80 Arrested For Civil Unrest At US Capitol And Around DC
Metropolitan Police Department arrested 80 individuals this week in connection with the civil unrest at the U.S. Capitol and around D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department made 80 arrests between Monday and Thursday in connection with civil unrest in Washington, D.C., including at the U.S. Capitol Building. Charges ranged from simple assault and to various weapons violations.
Four of the individuals arrested by MPD were from D.C., 11 from Maryland, and four were from Virginia. Other states where the arrested subjects said they were from included Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Eleven people's home states were unknown.
The youngest person arrested was 16 and the oldest 72. The average age of the individuals arrested was 39.

MPD released photos of numerous suspects wanted for breaking into the Capitol building and damaging property following a First Amendment demonstration outside the White House on Wednesday.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for a violent crime in the District. Anyone with information about these incidents or the identity of the individuals in the photos is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411.
