Lockdown Lifted In Shooter Alert At Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling was put on lockdown Friday afternoon due to a potential armed intruder. The search for a gunman continues.

WASHINGTON, DC — Friday afternoon's lockdown of Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., was lifted shortly before 3 p.m. The base was locked down while authorities searched for two reported active shooters, according to a post on the base's official Facebook page.
“All clear, all clear. Resume normal operations," an announcement said over the base loudspeaker, according to a news report. No news has been reported yet about whether the shooters were apprehended.

Senior Airman Kevin Tanenbaum confirmed Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling is on lockdown, according to WTOP.
"Multiple sources confirm sounds of gunfire near 3800 Holly Terrace around Bolling Air Force Base. Unconfirmed reports of a suspect on the base," WTOP reporter Megan Cloherty posted on Twitter.

Cloherty also reported that possibly two shooters are on the base and one is injured.
Metropolitan Police Department told Channel 7 News reporter Tom Roussey officers were investigating the report of shots fired around 12:04 p.m in the 3800 block of Halley Terrace S.E., according to a Twitter post. Police told Roussey they found no suspect and he fled across I-295 to the base.
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling posted the following on its Facebook page:
"Be on the lookout for two individuals on base with descriptions as follows: One individual is a black male, medium build with dreads wearing ripped blue jeans and with dreads. The second individual is a black male wearing green pants and a white top. He may be injured. Do not go looking for these individuals. If you see these people, call the Base Defense Operations Center at 202-767-5000."
The last known location of the suspects was to the south of Blanchard Barracks, according to the post.
"If you encounter the individual and have a safe route, RUN," the post said. "If you do not have a safe route to run, HIDE. Barricade your door, turn off the lights and your cell phone ringer, and remain silent. If you are hiding, prepare to FIGHT."
